Sean Kelly, 56 today. Or was it on Monday? All of the profiles on the internet seem to think it is today but I’ve just been reliably informed by David Harmon via Twitter that it was on the 21st May!

John James Kelly was and is, a legend! From humble beginning’s as the son of a farmer in County Waterford he went on to be one of the most successful cyclists of the 1980′s.

Starting his career as a sprinter, he became a formidable all rounder and a true, man for the classics. From turning professional in 1977 till the early 90′s he racked up an incredible Palmares, his most notable achievements include…
